The AW65ECE features a dreadnought body shape with a soft Venetian cutaway constructed with a solid cedar top with black binding on laminated okoume sides and back with a low gloss finish. The soundhole is round with a black and white acrylic rosette. The nyatoh neck has a 20-fret laurel fingerboard with black binding and small white dot position markers. Components include an ivory plastic saddle in a laurel bridge with black Ibanez Advantage bridge pins, a plastic nut and chrome Ibanez tuning machines. Electronics consist of an T-bar undersaddle pickup connected to an Ibanez AEQ-TP2 preamp with onboard tuner powered by a 9V battery and feeding balanced XLR and ¼” outputs.
